The journey of Modi and Shah Brothers also known as Modi and Shah Agency started way back in 1971, 3 generations ago by late Shri Ratilal Kalidas Shah. Late Shri Ratilal Shah who belonged to a small village Vadu of Mehsana district moved to Ahmedabad city for earning a living and lived with his elder brother in Madhupura area.
Shri Ratilal ji had his first job in a submersible pump company. After some time, under the guidance of his elder brothers’ late Shri Sevanti Bhai and Shri Bipin bhai, Shri Ratilal ji formed an alliance with the suggested partner late Shri Maneklal Chandulal Modi ji.
With an initial investment of Rs.15000, the partners started their FMCG firm along with OTC medicines on 1 march 1971 at padmol ni bari at Dariyapur. With business going good, they soon opened their second shop at Khiskola pol in Kalupur area and a 3rd shop in b.g house in Kalupur area.
The partnership was withdrawn with mutual consent in the year 1987.
This Major change didn’t affect the spirit of Businessman in Late Shri Ratilal ji & he continued his journey henceforth. This was further taken to new heights by the 2nd Generation by Mr. Nitin R Shah & Mr. Ketan R Shah. At present, the brand Modi and Shah is being successfully run by the 3rd generation brothers Mr. Vidip Shah & Mr. Utsav Shah and have their office at Shanti Commercial Complex, relief road since 1993.
VISION & MISSION
The vision that was seen by Late Shri Ratilal shah has been successfully achieved by their preceding 2 generations. And now it’s their mission to grow the business with FMCG & OTC medicine companies as their distributor and C&F agents in a perfect manner that benefits both the sides and reaching the unreached ruler corners of Gujarat along with marking their presence in the urban lands of Gujarat. The courage that Late Shri Ratilal ji had in his veins to accomplish the pinnacles of business is being carried by his present 3rd generation as they too are taking the business to new heights and nurturing their brand into manifolds of success.
EXPORT SECTOR
The brand is now willing to expand its reach to the major exporters in Ahmedabad and rest of Gujarat and even in Mumbai and Rajasthan to meet the demand and supply adequate quantities of FMCG & OTC medicinal products, & to reach every nook and corner of Gujarat be it ruler or urban.
